Chicago Marks Great Start To Season
Opening its fifth season at the Cohoes Music Hall, C-R Productions offers us a most exciting version of Chicago, starring Jessica Costa as murderess Roxie Hart, Jennifer Elise Davis as fellow inmate Velma Kelly and Jerry Gretzinger as shyster lawyer Billy Flynn, who will do anything for a few bucks. The three lead one of the very best casts imaginable in a show that sizzles with Broadway quality. Director-Choreographer is Tralen Doler who has this production electrifying the audience from beginning to end. What a wonderful beginning for C-R Productions’ new season!

Cohoes Serves Up Chicago Sass
Razzle dazzle ‘em. That’s just what they’re doing at Cohoes Music Hall with a season-opening production of Chicago directed by CMH vet Tralen Doler. The classic Kander & Ebb show features a bright score that’s well rendered by a seven-piece band under the direction of Michael McAssey; sassy choreography, also from Doler; and a still tantalizing story of murder, fame and sleaze courtesy of Fred Ebb and original director Bob Fosse.

C-R Productions’ High-Caliber Chicago
Tralen Doler’s direction is top-notch his choreography is breathtaking. Jessica Costa and Jennifer Elise Davis are beautiful and talented, and they are just the icing on a yummy cake of a cast. Gwendolyn Jones just about knocked my socks off as Matron Mama. This is what American musical theatre is SUPPOSED to sound like.
