42nd Street Worth A Stroll
Director/Choreographer Tralen Doler clearly loves a big dance number, and he's got plenty of them in 42nd Street. The title tune, “We're In the Money," "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and "Lullaby of Broadway" are all dazzlers -- whether talking in terms of costumes, lights, moves or music from Michael McAssey's pit band. C-R vet Jessica Costa plays Sawyer with her own bright-eyed vigor. In this show she taps like a madwoman, sings like a bird and turns in a solid acting job. Jerry Christakos plays big-time director Julian Marsh. He's been wonderful in other shows in Cohoes, but he was born for the role of Julian Marsh. 42nd Street plays through March 30 at the hall. It's a winner!

42nd Street Production Offers Retro Fun
In this dazzling show the ensemble members are the stars. Watching their energetic routines leaves you in a state of disbelief as they tap their way into the heart and soul. C-R Productions has a unique ability to attract the greatest talent, especially when it comes to singing and dancing. Suffice it to say that Tralen Doler, director and choreographer, has yet another smash hit. If the polished acting and beautiful singing don't captivate you, the dancing will have you reeling with excitement.

42nd Street A Must-See In Cohoes
To give an example of the fun in the Cohoes Music Hall production of 42nd Street, the dance performed at the curtain call is better than the best dance number usually found in many regional theater productions. If there ever was a must-see area musical, it is 42nd Street. Tralen Doler returns to Cohoes Music Hall to direct and choreograph the show and he exceeds expectations. If you can’t find something to like in this production that plays through March 30, you aren’t trying. So hurry to Cohoes Music Hall before March 30 if you want to see one of the most enjoyable musicals of the season. It’s all rather breathtaking!

42nd Street Musical In Cohoes Taps Its Way Into The Heart
As we are still in winter, the best you can hope for is a good musical comedy, and C-R Productions has one for you: 42nd Street. Yes, if you like tap — I love it — you should fly to 58 Remsen St. in Cohoes and see the punishment those young feet get. The bright-eyed ensemble, is the workhorse of this production, and the only word to describe the feeling you get from their efforts is JOY! Oh, and there’s no miking. What a pleasure it is to hear unamplified voices, the raw vocal talent shining through as brilliantly as the terpsichorean.

Hear The Beat Of Dancing Feet
The joint is literally jumping in Cohoes as Tralen Doler filled has once again filled the Music Hall with a big, exuberant dance extravaganza, this time a tap-happy staging of 42nd Street. I could literally feel the floor shake as the big finale cranked into high gear. Everything in this production sounds and looks just great. The weather outside is still pretty frightful, but there’s a sunny side to every situation inside the Cohoes Music Hall. 42nd Street is wonderful, family-friendly entertainment for this dreary time of year.
